A voyage through the Mediterranean

Les Cris de Paris

Geoffroy Jourdain – conductor

A full-blooded and youthful performance, as only Les Cris de Paris know how. A programme rooted in the diversity of mediterranean cultures across time, such as Ligea, a France-Festivals commission by the composer Zad Moultaka, an artist of Lebanese origin living in France who has embraced the ancient Greek of Homer and his Sirens as well as the Christian liturgy. Here then, through the masterpieces of the ancient and modern polyphonic repertoire, the banks of the Mediterranean reach out to each other in this luminous programme from Les Cris de Paris.
