MÉDITERRANÉE(S) - Festival 2010
Vivaldi – Spinosi
With an exuberant vitality, Jean-Christoph Spinosi makes the music ripple, whirl and yearn in an interlacing of emotions. For this concert, entirely devoted to Vivaldi, he brings back the mellifluous voice of counter-tenor David DQ Lee, the great discovery of the 2009 Festival, in the famous Stabat Mater and the cantata Cessate omai cessate. In the concerto La Notte, Spinosi weaves supple and whirling musical lines, embued with freshness and melancholy by the amazing talent of international star flautist Alexis Kossenko. Some great Vivaldi in the offing!
