Paul O'Dette - luth

Les Trois Orphées

"Take up your lute, dear Orpheus, and show the goddess how this sweet hope charms our sadness" wrote Corneille in his Golden Fleece. Paul O'Dette has since the early 1980s committed to disc his reverence for this virtuosic instrument, for its wonderfully rich repertoire. He has brought together for Ambronay the works of three of the greatest composers, the 'three Orpheuses' of the golden age: Marco da l'Aquila, Albert de Rippe and Francesco da Milano.
